HOW DOES AAA AUTO PURCHASE VEHICLES?

  • ARRIVAL OF THE CUSTOMER AT AAA AUTO BRANCH SHOWROOM

Upon arrival, someone wishing to sell a vehicle is met by one of our repurchase department specialists, who will introduce you to the process.
  • DOCUMENT AND ID CHECK

First, we will check vehicle registration data and information on whether the vehicle had previously been involved in an accident. This includes whether the seller is the registered owner of the vehicle. If not, we need a notarized power-of-attorney from the owner, as registered in the large technical certificate.
  • TEST DRIVE

Once the basic paperwork has been reviewed, we check the drivability of the vehicle – its basic handling properties, the functioning of all key systems and all accessories. This test drive usually takes about 10 minutes.
  • SERVICE INSPECTION / ON THE RAMP

After the vehicle’s test drive, it goes up the inspection ramp. Here it is thoroughly checked over for defects and specific wear and tear. We want to know what service, maintenance and repair work, we will need to do the vehicle in order to have it in the right condition for us to offer it to one of our customers, with our related vehicle warranty.
  • DIAGNOSTIC CHECK AND ACCIDENT INSPECTION

As another part of our inspection of the vehicle, we run it through a modern computerized diagnostic check – either directly in the repurchasing department or at a specialized inspection station. This inspection can reveal vehicle defects, equipment malfunctions and dangerous conditions that are sometimes not detectable by eye by our service technicians.
  • PRICING (VALUATION)

The price we can offer you for your vehicle (its value to us) will take into consideration the results of all of our vehicle inspections and other basic information about the car (age, kilometers driven, color, equipment, etc.). The price also reflects the related supply and demand for similar vehicles by other buyers and sellers. We take all these factors into consideration in order to be able to offer you the highest possible price for your vehicle.
  • CUSTOMER SALES DECISION

As the vehicle’s seller, we let you see the information on our inspections of the vehicle and the analysis of the vehicle’s market value along with the reasons for the vehicle’s price, as arrived at by our repurchase specialist. Our research shows that 90% of customers are satisfied with our offered price!
  • LEGAL AND KILOMETER CHECK

Afterwards, the vehicle must be checked as to its history of mechanical safety tests, mileage history, whether it is has been financed by any financial services provider subject to distraint proceedings or bankruptcy and whether the VIN code corresponds to the data in the vehicle registration document (physical inspection). Furthermore, the vehicle must be run through the stolen vehicles database. If you do not have to hand the materials necessary for conducting this check (i.e. up-to-date extracts from the central distraint registry and bankruptcy registry and also a report from a respected company dealing in investigation of vehicle origin and history), an additional payment of € 49 may be required for this additional customer service which we shall be happy to provide you with.
  • CASH PAYMENT

If you agree with our offered price for your vehicle, you will sign our purchase agreement and you will be paid our purchase price in cash or by bank transfer. The whole process usually takes about an hour. We will take care of all the necessary documents for you. You do not need to unregister the car or go anywhere. We take on the full responsibility for any legal and technical problems associated with the vehicle.
