If not stated otherwise, the speed limitations are: 130 km/h on a highway or motorway, 90 km/h on normal roads, 50 km/h when driving in a town or village.
Alcohol tolerance is ZERO, which means even a small quantity of alcohol before driving is forbidden – our advice is don’t drink and drive in the Czech Republic.
You must always have your headlights switched on, it is the law!
As in many other countries, there is some mandatory equipment that you must have in your car at all times: first aid kit, reflective vest, emergency car warning triangle, spare tyre or tyre repair kit.
